The way I see it is the new plan is to give all the Gulf states nuclear weapons apart from Iran. Then we'll see whether the mullahs have the gumption to charge tolls in the Hormuz Strait.

It's the twenty-fifth of July now so I'm assuming this means June 1st 2027. I'm all in favour of prosecutory authorities being given time to get their ducks in a row but they've already had seven months (and presumably a couple of years before his arrest) so another ten months seems a bit of a stretch (no pun intended) considering this is the most important case in their docket.
Still, it would be awkward if Mr Maduro was found not guilty so possibly June 1st 2027 is a shade optimistic. "Continuance, your honour!" "Oh, go on then. But remember, justice delayed is justice denied."

Maduro is no longer going to be charged as the leader of the Cartel of the Suns, a terrorist criminal drug trafficking organisation, (as that would need showing he was the actual leader, and raise the awkward question of who was the new leader).
Nicky is now being charged with turning a blind eye, whilst in office to the culture of drug trafficking. This culture was commonly known as Cartel of the Suns......

A perfect example of 'victim culture' was on parade with the Grand Prison Release Scheme. Now I'm not here to argue about penal policy in the UK generally -- I have no reason to suppose my wisdom is any greater than anyone else's -- only about the prisons being 'in crisis' and that consequently a whole bunch of criminals will have to be let out early.
What I do know is that any government that backtracks on the agreed policy of its former self and the previous government's because (a) someone goes on telly and complains her abuser is going to be let out early and (b) someone else is angry the youths who killed her husband are going to be freed ahead of time is (c) an arsehole government.
It's quite simple, chaps. You (a) work out what has to be done, (b) do it and (c) stoically resist a few people--and a lot of the MSM--kvetching about it. That's why you're the government and they're not.
