What would be awesome, of course, is if my explanation also explained other, related mysteries. And it does.

It explains why the CCP never shut down international travel.

It explains why deaths never happened in any other city.

It explains why China, and even Wuhan City, is long out of quarantine and will never be shut down again (local officials occasionally shut down an airport or train station---but this is because the local functionaries have been told that C19 is real and came to China from Europe). In short, it explains why the CCP does not fear the virus.

It explains why the CCP has never provided anyone with a vial of the virus, even though they claim to have isolated it.

It explains why the genome of the virus appears an obvious fraud when examined with an open mind---apparently being a manipulation of the SARS virus genome.

-----------------

Granted. These facts are consistent with the incident in Wuhan being due to any type of industrial accident. But we should properly identify that as my base claim. The specific nature of the industrial accident is a secondary claim. My secondary case is based on what makes Wuhan City unique (or nearly so) and what type of industrial accident would produce seemingly random deaths.

So the Wuhan virus research lab could have a part to play in your base claim, but is just an innocent bystander in your secondary claim?

The lab was the source of the pathogen hypothesis. The laboratory staff panicked when one of their own employees (a young woman) got sick and died of the mysterious illness. They worried that one of their viruses had somehow escaped and they started talking publicly about that possibility.

At this point, the CCP may have shared their worry. Or perhaps the government had already identified the correct source and fixed it. Either way, the Wuhan Lab's analysis afforded the CCP with what would become the cover story. The government did modify the story, however---making the pathogen originate at the wet market rather than the laboratory.

But that's another point in my favour. Because the reason the Wuhan Lab speculated that the virus had come from their laboratory was because, being virus experts, they knew full well that no virus with which the general public was likely to come into contact outside their laboratory could possibly cause the symptoms they were seeing. Being virus experts, they assumed that the sickness was the work of a virus. But, being virus experts, they also knew they were the only possible source of a virus of such obvious potency.

However, one point in Ishmael's favour is that if it emerges that it was not only China's fault but by covering it up caused the worldwide panic, the claims for compensation would take care of China's GNP growth for a generation or so. Whether she pays them or not, China's name would be sufficiently mud to justify China going to some lengths to cover up the cover-up. Indeed, if possible, to cover up the cover-up of the cover-up. Even a little way down this path, we would no longer be asking William of O to account for nature's parsimony.

The Russians, we might recall, favour a technique that generates a plethora of false positives when they are bang at it.

An industrial accident is mistaken by medical professionals and government officials as a communicable disease.

Seems simple enough. Even commonplace. And given the history of AIDS, it's not even without precedent (I maintain that AIDS was a drug problem mistaken for a communicable disease).

All the vaccine trials (lots of young fit volunteers) are basically worthless, at best they will show that a vaccine that is partially effective. Wiles predicts a Covid vaccine will never be given to the over 75s, ie the only group at real risk. To justify all this, us youngsters are all going to have to have a bat flu jab, way after the "pandemic" has passed ..... just to show our solidarity with the elderly and NHS.

I was clearly wrong on 2 points.

1) They are prioritising it on oldies. Given the stated side effects amongst the vaccine trial volunteers, this is a risk.
2) I now realise that we spread these types of virus to the avians, swine etc so this was unfair to bats.

Apologies.

We are being locked down as there is a mystery new variant that is spreading significantly more easily. OK I overstate this, Mick is being Locked Down, unless he fled the Metropolis yesterday.

SAGE are now "unintentionally" humiliating the PM, rather in the same way that parliamentarians intentionally humiliated Theresa May, by constantly forcing him to do what he previously said he wouldn't.

They are doubling down on the hysteria because it’s in their own interests to prolong the terror until almost everyone is vaccinated. Then they can pretend they have saved us all. As for the new variant, every virus mutates constantly. There is no evidence for a substantial mutation

Clearly they were not anticipating that every other country would believe this. Net result gridlock around Dover, as well as a mass flight from London.

Comparing our present hysteria to Salem, we’ve reached the point they achieved at Christmas 1692 - so many are under arrest that it’s becoming ludicrous. More people are muttering under their breath that they think it’s nonsense even as the authorities are still pushing the witch hysteria.

In weeks we will see the end of our Covid nonsense. Valance and Whitty have taken a step too far with this new variant Covid invention. The PM will have to backtrack now the ports are shut. Hancock will fall and soon it will be a bad dream

Mick has been unwell the past 9-10 days but feeling better now. Meanwhile his internet provider has updated his 'package' whereupon his internet connection went down. They've promised to fix it on Wednesday. He'll be back.
