Mourinho - you are right - is an oddball. |
Is he? He believes he is the Special one, he whinges that clubs above (Man C) have too much money, he whines that the clubs below play too defensive when visiting Man U, he bemoans his players' lack of effort, he complains about refs but only when it goes against his team. He bullies his backroom staff. He picks petty spats with other managers...
This is all bog standard managerial fare.
M is a good manager adept at stopping other teams playing attacking football, but basically without a original thought in his head.

How can you lose a review if the bowler has overstepped? That's the umpire's fault for not calling him. The review is of the LBW verdict, which is not judged (though Crane's was in fact 'out').
To prove my point, a batsman is called back if a replay shows the bowler had overstepped but not been called, whereas a batsman is not called back if a replay shows he has been given out incorrectly in any other way.

Ross Barkley: Chelsea sign midfielder from Everton for £15m |
I've never rated him particularly highly but surely he's not this bad?

Arsenal will let Sanchez leave if they receive close to £30m |
Manchester City is the interested buyer. Surely he's worth more?

He's only got a few months left on his contract. City should probably wait until it's run out and give Arsenal nothing, but the economics of football are mad

The Champions League is back and the big news is that Spurs have Spurs emblazoned on their buttocks. The reason is unclear--it's only their change kit--unless the Levites are angling for sponsorship from Andrex.

You must have been looking up their bums with a magnifying glass. Have a look at this clip everybody, what do you see?

Still if it becomes a trend I guess their North London rivals could do worse than have their club name emblazoned across their, er...maybe not.

The weirdest thing about the West Bromwhich taxi heist was why they were there in the first place. The trip was planned because West Brom would be knocked out by Liverpool, not be in the next round, have two weeks between matches, cue a week’s mid-winter bonding break in Sunny Spain. Very sensible. Let’s hear it for the gaffer.
But they beat Liverpool, had a match on Monday and had to play Southampton on Saturday. Not enough time for a break at Bromsgrove Centreparc. Yet still they went. Let’s sack the gaffer.

Your anxieties about separatist Scottish curlers refusing to pull their weight for GB have proved well-founded. Knocked out by Switzerland in the round-robin play-offs. Let them go.

So we turn gratefully to the NZ vs England one-dayers. Both sides have elected to wear black. I've got a better idea. Why don't they both wear white? It'll never catch on.
